Priest gathering to precede Cabico ordination Minimize
Priest gathering to precede Cabico ordination

Bishop Larry Silva has been turning ordinations into occasions for Hawaii’s priests to get together for a few hours of prayer and share. The ordination of Jon Cabico on Monday, June 29, is offering another such opportunity.

The priests will gather at St. Stephen Church in Nuuanu five hours before the 6 p.m. ordination at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace.

The first item on the schedule after a short period of “gathering” will be half-hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

Then Bishop Silva will engage the priests in a half-hour session, to be followed by an hour of “sharing” priesthood stories, an evening prayer and a light supper before everyone heads down the road to the cathedral.
