Willie K is headliner for Kau Kau’s fundraiser

Maui musician Willie K will be the top draw at “Music Feeds the Soul,” a March 6 fundraiser for Hale Kau Kau, a program of St. Theresa Church in Kihei, Maui, that serves hot meals to the hungry every day of the year.

The evening of dinner, auction and entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Aulani Ballroom of the Wailea Beach Marriot Resort and Spa. Other entertainers include Island Stylin’ and Acoustico.

Individual tickets cost $75. Four special sponsorship opportunities run from $1,500 for 10 attendees to $250 for two tickets.

The event is also selling advertising space in its printed program.

Hale Kau Kau is a volunteer-operated parish meal program that serves about 50,000 hot meals a year to the hungry, homeless and homebound of South Maui. Since opening 18 years ago, it has served an estimated 1 million meals.

For more information, call Marie Osaki or Tina Draper at the Hale Kau Kau office at 808-875-8754, or e-mail hkkmaui@yahoo.com, or visit www.halekaukau.org.
