“Little squirts” were the order of the day when Minnesota’s June Dairy Month mascot cow, “Time-O-Day Lady Belle,” visited St. Joseph’s Home for Children in St. Paul, Minn. Diocese offering tuition help to needy students
A non-profit foundation is offering tuition assistance to needy students enrolled in any of Hawaii’s 40 Catholic elementary and secondary schools. The Augustine Educational Foundation, formally established and endowed with $1 million by the Diocese of Honolulu in 1984, will award tuition grants for the 1986-1987 academic year to Catholic school students with real financial need.

Not exactly retirement
To the very last week on the job, Walter Yoshimitsu gave his blood. 100 pints to be exact. Such sacrifice did not go unnoticed. As a farewell gesture for his retirement after 25 years with Campbell Estates, his coworkers dressed in red and filled his office with red balloons on June 26, the day he coincidentally delivered his 100th pint of blood in the company-sponsored Hawaii Blood Bank van parked outside. They even put a red bow on his arm bandage. …
Yoshimitsu left his job as administrator of governmental services at Campbell on June 30, and with only a weekend break, began a new career Monday, July 3, as Manager of Diocesan Services for the Diocese of Honolulu.
